FLATLINE is the popular newsletter that offers a satirical commentary on today's current events, throwing themes from popular culture to politics into the mix. Starting in 1998, FLATLINE was originally a monthly publication; it was later published six times a year and, most recently, irregularly.

Beginning with Volume 12 (2010), FLATLINE became an electronic-only publication; its stories are published individually. This allows for a timelier publication schedule. In addition, readers can be kept informed about new stories either via the traditional E-mail list (up to Volume 12(1-2) used to distribute PDF versions of FLATLINE) or the new RSS feed option.

FLATLINE has been associated with a number of supplemental publications. FLATLINEplus is published irregularly. CDER Chips, 20993 was published irregularly from 2006 - 2008. FLATLINE238 began publicaton in 2010.
