Casey Anthony's Probation to End
Set for Cross-Country "Party Tour" to Celebrate

(Orlando, FL) — Casey Anthony, the single mother from Florida who was acquitted of murdering her young daughter in 2011, will soon be free from Florida's Department of Corrections.

Anthony was charged with the murder of her daughter, Caylee Marie, who died in 2008. Prosecutors claimed Anthony suffocated her daughter with duct tape because motherhood interfered with her desire for a carefree life of partying with friends and spending time with her boyfriend. The defense claimed Caylee actually drowned a month before she was reported missing, on July 15, 2008, in a pool at the home of Anthony's parents, George and Cindy Anthony, with whom the child and her single mother lived. George and Casey worked then worked to cover up the toddler's death.

Anthony was acquitted of all charges by a Florida jury on July 5, 2011, and was released from prison 12 days later. She has since been on parole due to charges stemming from check fraud.

Her release, set for August 23 at midnight, means that she will no longer have to endure the inconvenience of reporting to a probation officer each month. She will also be able to leave the state of Florida at will; no permission will be needed.

"Ms. Anthony is asking for privacy at this very important time in her life," said a spokesman for Anthony's lawyer, speaking on condition of anonymity. "She is looking forward to getting out after having to deal with the tragedy of incarceration. One of her goals is to go on a 'Party Tour' and get [explicative]-faced drunk in every state."

"We have asked the state of Florida not to mention a specific time of release," continued the spokesman. "We don't want demonstrators or other Floridian whack-jobs showing up to protest her release. And, quite frankly, many of those whack-jobs want to rip her limb from limb. She was acquitted in a fair trial, so we can't figure out why."
