(Rockville, MD) — An office at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has set a record for the effort needed to order toner for office equipment. And the number of back-and-forth correspondence just keeps rising. As of this article's publication (August 10, 2011), there have been 32 E-mails sent out regarding the ordering of toner. The amount of E-mails generated on the subject show no sign of abating, as other Federal government offices watch in amazement and apprehension, concerned that they may be witnessing things to come. "It used to take one or two messages," said a procurement specialist, speaking on condition of anonymity. But now it takes dozens. And 32 is just an obscene number." To help Federal agencies and other interested parties track the toner developments, the Sick Bird Publishing Company has created a Widget for Webmasters.
